Navigation to Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier
Your day begins with an early morning boarding of one of two yatchs heading up the Straight of Ultima Esperanza on the way to the glaciers you will pass thru Patagonian fijords , see uninhabited islands , watch flocks of breeding cormarants and other sea birds crowding along the cliffs . Is possible that is your lucky day and you may see the Sea Lions visit the glaciers . Waterfalls and Condors can be observed for sure along the way . Some of the original ESTANCIAS (or ranches) , are still operating and can be seen on the otherwise desolate shoreline . The ship’s Captain will bring you up close , front line views of Glacier Balmaceda . After that you will disembark in Bernardo O’Higgins National Park . There , you observe native flora and fauna along the trail up to the view point of Glacier Serrano .
Before return to Puerto Natales you will stop in a Estancia ( the tipical Patagonian ranch ) and there you will eat a delicious roast lamb Magallanic style , slowly cocked for several hours over the coals with different types of salad region and also enjoying the taste of worderful Chilean wine . If you are vegetarian don't worry because they can make something special for you.
After lunch you will be back in Puerto Natales between 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm ending thereby an amazing day!
