Milodon Cave

                It is a half day tour, should be in the morning or in the afternoon, "The Milodon Cave" is around 30 minutes driving to the northwest of Puerto Natales, doesn"t exist public transportation just private.

               There you have to pay separate an entrance fee that is not too much, around U$5 Dollars per person, and you will be there for around four hours visiting the three  caves in the area and the "Silla del Diablo", the view from here of the valley is amazing ! . Slight difficulty.

Visable from Puerto Natales and located just 11 km ( 6.8 miles ) away of town , Sierra Dorotea forms a ridge line heading off to the North West , on it’s way to Torres del Paine.
It’s location makes for great half or full day visits with horseback riding and trekking to choose from .

Your day begins with an early morning boarding of one of two yatchs heading up the Straight of Ultima Esperanza on the way to the glaciers you will pass thru Patagonian fijords , see uninhabited islands , watch flocks of breeding cormarants and other sea birds crowding along the cliffs . Is possible that is your lucky day and you may see the Sea Lions visit the glaciers . Waterfalls and Condors can be observed for sure along the way . Some of the original ESTANCIAS (or ranches) , are still operating and can be seen on the otherwise desolate shoreline .

FOTO SAFARI TOUR:

If you are short on time, or not into “roughing it”, this full day tour gives you a great over view of all the natural wonders Torres del Paine has to offer.

Your day starts when you are picked up at your hotel, between 7:30 am to 8:00 am. From there the fun begins. You will make several photo stops, such as Laguna Amarga to see the Towers, Pehoe Lake to see Valley Frances, as well as short optional mini treks along the Grey Glacier beach and the Milodon Cave, before returning to your hotel around 7 pm.
